Losing a child is something no parent should ever have to face. It’s a kind of pain that cuts deep and changes you forever. I’ve now walked through that heartbreak twice. The first time was back in 1993 when my second child was stillborn. That loss shook me to my core — I didn’t think anything could hurt more than that.
But then, in January 2025, my beautiful 26-year-old daughter died by suicide. And suddenly, the pain reached a whole new level. It’s been absolutely unbearable. The grief is overwhelming, and on top of it, there’s this heavy weight of guilt — the constant “what ifs” and “could I have done something?” questions that never seem to stop.
Through all of this, one thing has stayed steady: God. Even when I’ve felt lost, angry, confused, or numb, He’s been there. His presence has been a lifeline in the darkest moments.
That’s why I’m sharing this — not because I have all the answers, but because I know how lonely this road can feel. My hope is to help other grieving Christian moms find a safe place to connect, share, and heal — starting with our Facebook group. You’re not alone, and if my story can offer even a little bit of comfort or hope, then it’s worth sharing.
My Mission & Vision
Bringing together grieving moms
At Grieving Christian Moms, our mission is to create a Christ-centered community where grieving mothers find comfort, connection, and hope. We understand that while friends and family may care deeply, only another grieving mom can truly comprehend the depth of this sorrow. That shared understanding is sacred—and it’s here where hearts find rest in knowing they’re not alone.
Rooted in the truth of Romans 12:15—“Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn”—we walk together through the valley of loss, honoring each child’s life, bearing one another’s burdens, and clinging to the Shepherd who holds us in our grief with compassion and unfailing love.
